Subject: GMC Owners..... BAH! IP: Logged
Message: GM owners are strange people, they pay big money for tons of standard features that should be options. They call On-Star to ask how to turn on their cars. They brag about their High power Truck engines, but its tough to hear them over the piston Slapping coming from under their hoods. They brag about having 4x4 on every car that GM makes, but of course that doesn't prevent them from ditching them when 1/8th inch of snow falls. Their cars/trucks get extremely home sick and spend lots of time in the dealership repair lot getting minor things fixed. They try to race everyone thinking their sticker price makes them go faster, and when they lose... the weather wasn't right for their complex GM engine.
Can you tell that all my friends, family, relatives are GM owners..... Guess im the only one with common sense.
GMC basically means - Got Money Chump?

Message: As a long time GMC fan (My favorite makes have always been GMC/Pontiac and Plymouth). All I gotta say is this:
I wish the yuppies would quit buying them.
My dad owned a '78 GMC, 400SB full time 4x4 w/ lockable diffs. 3/4 ton chassis bumper that extended out for an 11' cab over camper, leaf springs on all corners. It was as anti-yuppie as you can get. We abused it so much it should've been called "Lazarus". I loved the thing! My dad sold it when he got his '99 Cummins Ram that gets twice the gas milage and tows better.
GMC has the capability to make some excellent cars (like the Syclone/Typhoon). The problem lies in the fact that there's an INSANE yuppie market. And for some reason alot of them have latched onto GMC. Even more than Chevy. As far as the excessive options GM has stated that it's going to make more things options and get back to the basics. They're not inherantly bad, just they got nailed with the yuppie trend (I still wish it was a fad) harder than most other makes.
You'd be saying that about Jeep owners if thier long term core market wasn't so highly visible.
(but yeah, I can see where you're coming from)
