I'm kind of new here so sorry if this is a dumb question. I had a flash done to my pcm a couple of months ago and am now putting on a throttle body. From what I've read here, I'm supposed to reset the pcm after this mod. Will resetting the pcm have any effect on the flash that was done??

No. Flashing the PCM installs new baseline operational settings. With driving, the PCM learns your style and the general conditions under which your truck operates (city driving, hot weather, lead foot, high altitude, etc) and adjusts accordingly. All resetting does is take your PCM back to its baseline settings...effectively removing everything that it's learned about your driving, but leaving the flash intact. Resetting just allows the PCM to learn faster than if you didn't because there would be nothing to "forget" about your previous throttle.

OK you brainiacs, help me out. I just bot a lightly used '00 4.7 and found the following sticker under the hood.
Reprogramed PCM P/N 56040430AH
TSB 18-001-01 6-01-01

It seems to run a little soft for my taste. Fixes are in the mail, but I'm curious as to what they did.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Eddie
