Message: It sounds like it is talking about an ignition modification form this line in the ad,"This timing advance kit will modify your stock ECU with a resistor." The ballast resistor, if it is what they are talking about controls the voltage level going to the coil. "It prevents the excessive current from building up in the coil which would lead to overheating and destruction of the points or ignition amplifier." A quote form Performance Ignition book I have. Doesn't sound like a good buy, actually thier ad sounds fishy in the way it is worded.

Message: no this thing really works, for $100 I'll sell you a sledge hammer to just bash your motor apart to while your at it...... That guy needs to be band from e-bay if he's selling crap like that
hey CThomp, good ta see ya back, so have you upgraded to the 71mm? if not, hows the 68mm treating you? I'm looking to trade mine in as soon as the hemi comes to play in a Dakota 4x4 so I don't wanna do to many mods to it now. I did however get some clears corners, krypton lights, and a grill insert, which is on it's way

Message: I've been to doing some travelling here lately. The Everglades a few times, then Denver, and Baltimore after that. Finally in town for a little while. Still pretty happy with the 68mm. I think i'm gonna hang on to it for a while. At least until I open up the rest of the system some. Free-flow cat and exhaust are probably about a week away now. Just have to order them. After that I think i'm gonna get a hurst shifter. I've always wanted one of those. I can hold out for the hemi. I have a feeling its still about 2 years from the dakotas.
What kind of grill insert did you get? I've thought about one of those too.

Message: Everglades huh? how'd that go? I figured the money I save in mods can go to the new truck. I can settle with the power it has, it's way better than my 99 s-10 extreme 4 cyl. but they have a post for $250 ish, you can buy both HO cam and intake, I was thinking of doing that before I go to PA, but I wanna hold off for a better cam.
I to thought of the free flowing cat, but then decided mine as well just hack it lol good ol MI
I hope it s a couple years for the hemi to come out. that gives me time to save, these miles are destroying the value of my truck 19,000 miles in just 9 months
I ordered the grille-tech deal $79 shipped on a group buy as opposed to $89 for the uppers and $49 for the lowers , plus shipping. then after 2 weeks I found out it was on back order so they gave me a $20 refund check making it only $59 shipped

Message: Everglades are always great. Wasn't to hot and the bugs weren't bad. Got to take the airboat out too. Thats always fun. I'm still debating the cams and intake. I'd like to see some dyno nnumbers on the intake. Premier-automotive is supposedly coming out with some EHO cams that may be worth some more power than the HO's. If they end up being higher RPM cams though i'll go with the HO's. So i'm gonna hold out.
