Subject: What should I do next? IP: Logged
Message: I have headers, good exhaust(maybe), TB spacer. I'm looking for my next item, should I get a chip, FIPK2, performance TB? Eventually I'll get all, but what sould I get next?
Last but not least...Do the 5.2's have an eng oil cooler(in between the a/c fins and radiator)? I think I found one, but I haven't been able to trace the lines yet. I know the tranny's is built into the radiator...

Message: First thing is to throw the useless TB spacer away. They make good paper weights. Anyone of the 3 that you listed could be next. I put K&N Gen II, PCM, and then TB. If I did it over again, I would do the TB and the K&N together because one compliments the other.
My '99 came with a towing package. The towing package has an external transmission oil cooler. That might be what you are looking at.

Message: I know the thing you are talking about, it is on the driver's side. I assumed it was an oil cooler also.
Agree with Wayne, throw the TB spacer away. With MPI, the fuel is not injected until right before the combustion chamber so the extra space does not add anything to the process, just means the air has a longer way to go.
I did my filter and TB at the same time also but I ported my TB and polished it myself with a Dremel tool. It is easy to do but takes about half a day b/c it is a slow process to do it safely. (easier to remove more than put some shaved metal back on!)
How do you like the headers, I would really like to get a set but find that the 4x4s have less options b/c of the front driveshaft and Transfer case being in the way.
