It was fun, albeit a bit hot, like 95* or so plus a head wind, not great to race in, but I had a real blast, knocked a few tenths off my last time, and hopefully, I'll have my HO cams in next week (uh-huh, heard that one before)I'm game for Carlsbad big time, that's where I got my best times, but be advised, helmets a must for EVERYONE that races here. I have 2 that I'll bring.

Great turnout for Fontana!! It was bitter-sweet watching all the action but unable to participate.
I'm game for Carlsbad!!
When I went to Carlsbad last year, the track officials never checked the helmet I was wearing. I didn't see any of the officials checking helmets for certain requirements.

The cat should be taken care of on Friday. No, I don't have the stock muffler. The muffler shop disposed of it for me. Why? I'll swing by there today and see if it's still there if you really want it.

sorry i didn't make it.. did my first real sailboat race on saturday. some officer in the marines invited me on his friend's 38' racing boat and we raced from san diego yacht club around the coronado islands.. took 14 hours on the water, and we took 3rd. pretty fun.
D, i'm waiting on the 100lb valve springs to get done. it's taking a little bit longer than expected. but as soon as i get em in, i spend the next weekend installing all this crap that i have... including the NX :o) oh yeah!! :::looks around for corvettes:::
eric, dude i'm definitely down for carlsbad. fontan's all done with for the time isn't it?

my times were HORRIBLE!!! i only ran twice. the 1st run was a 15.1 @ 94.94 with a 2.29 60'. the 60' was pretty good (for running on a 35 series tire at 40 psi) but i royaly F'ed up my shift to 2nd.
the 2nd run was a 14.9 @ 95, with like a 2.4 60' but i had 2nd gear wheel hop.
i need to master this launch thing. one foot working the gas and break is not cutting it.. im going to use Eli's advice! (thanks again for the tip dude!)
the 100 degree heat and a headwind didnt help much either.
on the brighter side, i did beat a supercharged RT on both accounts ;-)
how is the truck comming along?

Hey, not only was it supercharged, but it had water injection, straight water wetter, an oil cooler, magnaflow,160 tstat, autolites, borg cap and roter, some really shizzy tires, and the iat sensor mod. Oh damn that was me in the r/t... LOL
Anyways it was really fun except for the heat and every gasket in my truck blowing on my last run. Some great races and sweet R/Ts
And Yes Eric ruined me both times

ed, i personally want to go to irwindale for 3 reasons
#1 i live about 15 min from the place
#2 they run at night. colder air = better times.
#3 its great for test and tune. i need to practice my launch technique. i was just thinking since there are a few people that live in the local area, it would be a great place to hang out for a few hours.
when ever you guys want to go to carlsbad, shout me a holla.
