Anybody using or know anyone with the Level 10 shift kit? I would appreciate any comments regarding this kit. Is it easy to install? I have a 46RE transmission in a 2000 QC 5.9L 4x4.

I have had mine for about 8 months, but have been unable to install it (been "away" for a while).

I would be interested to hear how your installation goes... by the way, what pieces did you get in your kit? Spring, rod and resistor?

Thanks

I would say stay away...

I have had my tranny rebuilt twice-- the shift kit works great at 1/2 throttle and above-- barks 2nd gear... But, with the 2nd rebuild I am now replacing the valve body to get rid of that kit.

I haven't got mine yet. I'm debating whether to get it or the Transgo. What are these pieces you are referring too? Are they part of the kit, or something optional? What do they do?

I am very pleased with the TransGo kit So far.

If you use the TFOD-518 kit I suggest going mid street on 2nd gear, and high street to low heavy duty settings for 3rd and 4th.

I need to take mine apart again to increase the settings for 3rd and 4th gear. I set it to mid street and it's still kinda mushy.

Great look at the install

Are you getting their shift kit or their complete rebuild/improvment kit. Their kits are designed for people that plan on raceing/abuseing their trannys. If you like to drink coffee on your way to work stay away from level 10. If you want the firmest shifts with no slip get level 10. Their rebuild kits require machineing some parts of the case; unlike some kits they redesign the pieces that hurt performance and durability.

Two springs and a pin is all that came with my kit for 149.00 oh and full color instructions in this hugh box. I called them to make sure they didn't leave anything out.??? ChaChingg.I had a tranny shop do the install along with a 2400 stall converter(Big waste of money)The kit works fine. No problems at all. I did have to take it back to get the line pressure increased. Also had them drill out the shift hole to the full race setting.I think the Trans-Go probably gives you more set up options.Sounds like a better value for the money to me.But I am satisfied with the Level Ten. Shifts are a lot firmer now.
Has anybody out there used a brass screen in there trannys?
