Subject: 02 sensor location IP: Logged
Message: I drive an 02 dak. I know that the catalyic converter is restrictive. I also heard that the 02 sensors will be affected if I gut the cat. I know they can be relocated, but I dont know how to get to the o2 sensor to relocate them, and how or where to relocate them. Sorry for the stupid question.

Message: Chris,
1. not a stupid question.
2. don't gut the cat, cut it out.
3.cut as close as u can on both sides, making sure u leave the o2 sensor.go to autozone and purchase a strait piece of pipe(in the muffler and exst tips section)that will slip into the back piece, then get the reducer for the front and two muffler clamps.I don't remeber the sizes for any of this crap u may have to do some measuring.but after u coplete this mod u will have to remove the tube from ur crankcase that goes to the TB, plug the TB side w/ a cap and put an air breather on the crancase. this prevents the mil light.and ensures a good reading from the o2 to the pcm.I have done this same mod to my truck 20k miles ago ...no mil light+ more power + sounds a heleva lot better.hope I helped..
