Message:
1: will the rotors off a gen 1 (5-4.5" bolt pattern) fit on gen 2 spindles?

2: will a 727 torqueflite auto fit in a gen 2 behind a pre mag 360?

3: what cars had the 8 3/4" rear housings that had the spring perchs the same as the gen 2

4:will a small block 27 bolt to a magnum 360 block

these are all for a 4x2 short box, thanks for the help.

#1=yes

#2=yes with work.

#3=A bodys, 65-71 but they also have a 5 on 4" bolt pattern, you'll need new axles or drill the flanges for 4.5"

#4=I may be stupid here but I have no freegin clue what you askin.

I have a 94 with a 3.9 modded, I just got finished putting a 70 Cuda 8 3/4 in, which I recomend using over the A body. With the A body 8 3/4 you will have almost no backspacing.
The only difference between the A, B and E body rears is the E and B's need new spring pearches welded on and seeing as how you will be welding on any 8 3/4 to put lower shock mounts on it its no real biggie.

Hope this helped, email me if you would like more info or picts.

Scott

I just reread you post and if you meant to say "727" and not "27" than #4=yes, with the proper externally ballanced converter.

yes FazDak i can't believe i didn't notice that yes i did mean to say 727 thanks for the info. oh while i am thinking about it. does anyone make long tube headers for the gen2 according to hooker the they make long tube for gen1 but not gen2, was there significant body/frame changes to not use those headers on a gen2?
i asked about both engines because i am not sure i will go with the 402 stroker crate or build my own 408 stroker. thanks again
