just got truck back from dealer for mil light problem see general board (mil light blues) was driving home and decided to put windows down and noticed a slight whisle/squealing sound coming from the engine but only during certain rpms usually between 2200 and 2600rpm during acceleration. also noticable when reving engine at same rpms.... I've read a couple posts about this some say its the TB. WHAT EXACTLY IS THE CAUSE LOOSE FITTING? I REALLY DON'T WANT TO TAKE TRUCK BACK SEEING THEY'VE HAD FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS! THEY MUST HAVE MESSED WITH SOMETHING BECAUSE IT DIDNOT DO THIS BEFORE I BROUGHT IT IN WOULD THERE HAVE BEEN A REASON FOR THEM TO HAVE MESSED WITH THIS AREA... LOOKING FOR ANSWERS

A whistle? Hmm... you don't have a cold air intake with a K&N cone on it do you? Those create a 'sucking' noise at certian RPMS.

Probally my advice would be to get a friend and pop the hood. Have the friend vary the RPMS on the engine and see if you can identify where the sucking is coming from. Heck, with the hood up you might be able to hear it at idle...

I'd be checking the air intake from the filter to the TB, and the vacuum lines to see if one is loose. Other than that, more information (like where the noise is) is really needed to be specific. Good luck!

Pop the hood and pull the throttle cable YOURSELF.
It's the little cable on the side of the throttle body.
