I was wondering where the Air Intake Sensor conection is on a 3.9 L. V6 Dakota. I am installing a timing preformance kit and can not find where it is. This is my last resort before goign down to dodge and simply asking.

You can get near the same effect for free by simply -moving- the sensor to another location...

Check out www.speedtweaks.net and their 'Tips and Tricks' section. Look for the IAT Sensor relocation mod.

The guy doing the auction sold you a $0.10 radioshack part... and it's the wrong one if I remember correctly.

Thats odd! It was up earlier... I guess they are having trouble. Try again tomarrow, they have a lot of cool information and stuff.

The sensor is easy to find. It's located on the passenger side of the intake manifold, almost directly above the forward fuel injector. It's a brass looking plug with two wires coming out of it. You'll need to lengthen the wires and place a 1/2" pipe end in the hole. I stuck my sensor in my Airaid intake, just drilled a hole and threaded it and screwed the sensor in. Works pretty good, really noticable when it's cooler. Speedtweaks sells an adjustable unit that allows you to manually set the sensor return value, it's supposedly really cool, but I haven't tried it.

Bernd said in another thread that he's having problems with something on the website and that the site would be back up on monday. Last I heard the AIT adjusters were off the market for now. Last I heard. By the way, be sure to leave negative feedback...not that it'll do much cause they'll just change names and start selling them again but at least it'll be an annoyance.
