i got the MSD 6BTM, (which is the same as the 6A & 6AL) but im not sure i understand the install.

i am hooking it up to the blaster SS coil, so tell me if this is right.

i cut the wires going to the coil (green/orange, and black/grey) and conect them to the MSD orange and black wires.
then i conect the MSD red wire to the factory green/orange wire and the MSD white wire to the factory black/ grey wire..

RIGHT??

what about if you are using the stock coil??

First I have a 6a and a stand alone BTM. That said, the instructions read just the way you stated it. If you use the stock coil like I am it is the same you just retain the stock connector to the coil.

oh man. i dont know what the hell i was thinking.
thanks for the reply.

i have some questions for you. how much boost are you running?
how much retard?
what injectors?
have you had any "issues" with anything since the blower install?

I am running 6lbs. right now, have the 9lbs. pulley on the way. I got a set of used Lincoln Mark VIII injectors (24lbs.) to try and stop some pinging I had, even with 2.5 degrees of retard per pound of boost. I found out later that my belly pan gasket was blown so I replaced the intake with the m-1 and that fixed the pinging. My BTM is the stand alone so I can set were it starts pulling timing and the amount of retard, I heard that the newer 6btms were getting this feature. Mine is set to start at 1psi and pull 1 degree per pound of boost, so at 6psi it retards 5 degrees. Other than the belly pan gasket I haven't had any problems.

Hell Yeah the blower gave it a kick in the pants. I dynoed it after the install with the Kegger still on and leaking it made 303.5Hp to the rear wheels. I would say that is a kick. I was using 3922 but I fouled them with the old intake sucking oil so now I have 3923 till I can get some new 3922.
