Message: I hate to be a jag, and spam, buty I'm really screwed, and need help ASAP
my sister took my truck out, now all of a sudden it starts in bothe Park, and neutral, but in park I can only rev to about 2000 (compared to redlinning it), reverse goes no where (it revs but doesn't back up), neutral is a drive, so are the drive gears.
what do I do to fix this, or at least be able to get it to neutral where I can push it back and get it out of the way so I can get my aunts car out of the way

Message: Sounds like yer sister screwed your shifter. If neutral is a drive, then reverse is neutral, park is reverse.
Tell that biotch to walk next time! The shifter is not a pogo stick ...or anything else.

Message: She tried to shift out of park without her foot on the brake. Under the dash on the steering shaft is a white (white on mine anyway) thumb screw that adjusts the position of the shift indicator. Set the emergency brake, put the transmittion in neutral and adjust the thumb screw till the indicator is in neutral. You should be ok.
