Message: Never heard of anyone putting oil on intake gaskets. I think he was referring to sealant similar to silicone except hylomar is a polyurethane based gasket/joining compound that contains polyesters and silica and wont harden. It is not affected by gas,oil or other fluids. You could use it instead of a gasket on some things but I wouldn't recommend it on an intake but should work fine used in conjunction with regular intake gaskets.
