What is the best heat resistant material you should use to protect and shield your air filter from heat? Thanks in advanced.

J2ton...you should use your fat mother to insulate!
I was going to say use your father, but he is too much of a hot air bag!

Asbestos would be great, but since you can't buy the stuff... I would make one out of aluminum, or you could probably go to napa and pick up a catalytic convertor hear shield for some kind of vehicle, then trim it to the size you need. Probably costs like $10.
