How much cash would it take to get a good porting+polishing job on my heads, when I get my truck (found one finally, might get it this week finally :D :D :D :D :D)

www.krcperformance.com has head porting. 400 bux. But I dunno how fast you`d get `em back. Marty is a great guy but lotta complaints about waiting for heads from them.

Check at a local machine shop, they can probably do it pretty cheap. I know it's only like $125 to have them hot tanked, disassembled, and machined for larger valves.

Personally, after seeing what my stockers looked like, as well as others--- Porting the stock heads isn't worth it-- 5 out of 8 cyl had cracks on mine. Others have had them ported only to find the machine shop went too far and the cyl. leaked.
You'd be better off getting RT heads-- more $$$ but no problems to worry about.
