Message:
I just tested the TPS with a volt meter and it read 5.1v. After reading speedtweaks it says it should be close to .7v. I disconnect the TPS and put the neg. side in the middle terminal and grounded it to the battery.now my check engine light is on so i have to reset my computer. any help is appreciated.thanks

How were you checking the TPS voltage?? Shoudl be done with key on/engine off. black probe to ground and red probe on orange wire with the connector on the sensor. Shouldn't read more than .75vdc at idle(no moving of the linkage)
