Subject: Code P0351 IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 R/T RC and I was driving it today and it popped this code. I looked it up and found it is "coil #1 not reaching peak current at the right time" I just put a MSD Digital 6 ignition with the Blaster HVC coil in a couple of weeks ago. This the first time anything has come up. Any suggestions as to the problem? Thanks!!

Message: This is a soft code, it basically means you don't have the tach adaptor installed ($80 part that is sold by MSD). Your check engine light will go back off by itself and shouldn't show up again. You will however have that code stored in there, if you ever check again. It doesn't hurt anything, a lot of guys don't have the tach adaptor (like me) with no ill effects.
