Hey guys, Just wondering, (according to speedtweaks) they say that the best voltage is .7v to .75v.. Mine measured .66v. Speedtweaks also said that if it is close to 7v don't touch it..What do you think about mine. Any info would be helpful..

Mine was reading .47 volts. The highest I could adjust mine without doing some serious hogging out of the bolt holes was .69. That difference made noticably postive effect on the throttle response.

2002 4.7 with Auto.

How do you check the voltage?

How do you adjust it?

Can it be done on a '97 SLT 5.2L Auto?

dakotakidd: if mine were already at .66v i'd leave it alone. all that you are doing to adjust the voltage is making the gap between the contact area a bit smaller between the butterfly valve shaft and the little "teeth" inside the TPS.

if you already have decent response when giving it some pedal, i'd leave it alone. IMHO, it'd be too easy to go over the .75 and end up with problems idling. and keep in mind this doesnt make the truck any more powerful, it just shortens what little hesitation you _might_ get when accelerating from a stop. and @ .66v, you shouldnt have much hesitation at all.

just my .02 :)
