Subject: Gibson Exhaust - which to choose IP: Logged
Message: Hello everyone,
I've spent many hours scouring these forums learning more than I could have imagined about modding my Dak. Thanks to everyone for posting your knowledge and experiences!
Now the question: I've decided on a Gibson exhaust system, but I can't decide between the Dual Sport system and the Dual Split Rear. Does anyone have any experience between the two? Any reason I should lean towards one or the other? Why is the split system $60 more? I don't do much towing so that isn't a reason to not get the rear split as Gibson recommends.
One more question, if anyone has experience with the Intense Performance intakes from SpeadTweaks? Which one is for the 3.9L and includes the filter and tube?
Thanks in advance for all your help - this site rocks!

Message: Tim,
I personally have had the split rear for almost two years. Looks and sounds GREAT. I also have the intense performance Z tube on my 4.7 liter. If you are wondering what size to put on go directly to www.intenseperformance.com and e-mail john. He is VERY helpful regarding his intake systems. I love the Z tube and the gibson both.

Message: Thanks for the recommendation DucBoy. It appears Intense Performance's website is no longer up - anyone know if they are still in biz?
Thanks!

Message: Hi Tim
I installed the Gibson split rear exit exhaust about 2 weeks ago. The look is great, fitting was great and the sound is just perfect. A good sound but not too noisy.

Message: Hmm... now I can get right to the intense performance site.... must have had a stupid moment. I swear I tried it all last night and even checked the whois database and it showed the address available for registration. Oh well - Thanks!
