I have a 98 5.2. The current mods I have are
MSD ignition and taylor wires
Headers
Cat back exhaust
Fastmans TB 50 mm
K&N intake
Iat adjuster
Shift kit
electric fan.

I am debating on getting the M-1 intake. I have been reading post on a huge torque losses. I am aware that a minor loss would happen but the upper RPM gains would over come the loss in torque. I have also read that this will be the best mods with my current set-up. My quesiton shoud I get the M1 or get a modified stock keg intake from Hughes. Also I have my temp set on my fan at 180F is this correct?

I have almost the same mods as you, but on a 94' 5.2. The only difference is I have an M-1 intake. I just got it dynoed last weekend. If you like i'll put up a link to my sheets so you can see exactly what the torque/ HP looks like.

That would be great if you can show me the dyno results. Did you notice and drop off in power off the line. Do you recommend this intake? Thanks

JS , I have '97 5.2 auto, same mods plus 1.7rr , PCM and under drive pullies. I tryed a ported intake(didn't fill it) cut the runners 2" and matched the ports. The results were odd , no change at any rpm still falls flat at 4700 rpm. If the power went up it was only 1 or 2 hp. The manifold I used was off a R/T and didn't have a center divider like the factory manifold on my 5.2. My M1 is in the mail I will get it on in the next week or so.

Forgot to add , my factory stall is at 1900-2000 , any loss below 1800 rpm would not effect me.
