Read this:

OR This one:

I could find more but I don't have the time. Stay away from anything this guys is trying to sell.
I emailed him about his Emissions mod and haven't heard from him yet. When in doubt, ask...we've seen the scams before. Save your money.

Message: I don't know if what he is selling is junk or not but here is what I did.
Go to radioshack buy a package of 5 650k resistors and a 1 mfg capacitor. total cost $2.12.
next climb under your truck and pull the o2 sensor from the pipe and harness. cut the signal wire from the o2 sensor and splice in a 650k resistor and one side of the 1 mfg capacitor. next remove some insulation from the signal reference wire and attack the other end of the capacitor. now put some solder on the connections to secure them. now you can eather wrap the circuit in electrical tape(I did this works fine)or cover it in sylicone.
I have been running this setup know for about 6-7 months with absolutly no problems.

Message: Conig, how did you determine that the 650K (as in 650,000 ohms) resistor and the 1 microfarad capacitor were the correct values to use? Did you read this somewhere?

Message: if you go to any mustang site or www.contour.org people have been talking about mil eliminators for years. I took the same circuit I used to use on my svt and applied it to the truck. I originally used one megawatt but it was way to large from there it was all trial and error. I've run 650k for 5-6 months with no problems what so ever.

Message: what this does is keep me from getting a check engine light since I have no catalitic converter on my truck.
on my truck 2000 4.7l the signal is blue and the reference is gray.

Message: conig,
Will this work on the 01 4.7 with the three cats?
I mean taking the two on the headers off, they have the O2 sensors?

Message: yes it will work on the precats. I wouldn't take them off if I were you I would gut them out much easier and probable more beneficial because it would act as an expansion chamber.
If you do this please get before and after dyno's. there is usaully a lot of power locked up in precats. I would do it myself but I only have one cat.

Message: the two wires that are together is a heater and a ground basically they heat the o2 sensor up quicker so it can take a more accurate signal.

Message: if you have no colors to go by the signal wire is 5v and the heater + is 12v then the other heater wire is ground and the sig return i think ohms out to seem like a grnd if you have messed with o2 sensors its easy to tell whats what other then that if you hoock the 5v with the circuit to the grnd the light will be on and no harm just hook it to the other just dont hook it to the +12v lol

Message: I know alot of you guys have new daks. But what about the Gen Is? I have a 1990 that I removed the cat on. Sometimes it runs fine, other times, it doesnt. Replacing the O2 sensor has helped but now with 2 replacements already, it getting expensive. Can I do what is mentioned above and clear up the funky signals the O2 sensor is sending my engine? I hope so. O2 sensors are a bit expensive. But the perf. from loosing the cat is tremendous! Thanks
Joe E.
