Subject: Cold Air Intake vs. K&N Drop in filter
IP: Logged

Message:
I have been reading all the posts regarding air intakes and I've noticed a few people are actually getting rid of their intake kits and changing to a K&N drop in filter. Can someone tell me why? I assume it is because of disappointing results with the air intakes. I need to know if I would be better off with a drop in filter or the complete intake. Please enlighten me.
Thanks Bill

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want ANY performance at all go with the whole intake assembly by buying one or making your own.

The drop-in isn't gonna give you any performance at all. it's just gonna give you the convience of reusing.

I have never in my life read any such posts and I read most of them. As far as I know everyone that has done a cold air intake has been quite happy.
