Subject: Another IAT question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 QC with 4.7L
I read the IAT info on speedtweaks, but still not enough detail for me.
Is the IAT on the 4.7, on the front of the intake manifold inbetween the alternator and the a/c comp. mounted in a vertical position?
That's the only brass looking thing I could find.
Anyone have any nice pictures with arrows. :)

Message: Jordak,I had the same problem when relocating mine. The one in the front I think is a cooling temp sensor but I'm not sure.If your using the stock air fiter setup, you might have to remove it from the thottle body to get a good look at the IAT sensor.Looking at the engine the sensor is in the intake to the right of the thottle body. It's pretty close to the #5 spark plug.I'm not sure about the 2001 but on my 2000 the wiring harness for each plug is numbered and really easy to see.I think the 2001 has a lock type sensor instead of a theaded one. Sorry I don't have any pictures but I hope this helps.
