MikeD- SWEET!!! I have been wanting to check out your truck. I am free all day. I just gotta fix the oil leakage from my valve covers today, so that won't be a problem. I am pretty much free all day, if you wanna meet up somewhere.

Message: wow, looks pretty tight in there. I'd kill to have an R/T, but i dont really wanna get rid of my 4x4 (gotta love North Idaho winters). I have a quick question, lets just say SOME HOW i got my hands on an R/T (/me prays for a raise), why does it seem more people go the Vortech route then say a Kenne Bell? I have a KB on my 4.7 right now, and i love all the power down low, right where i can get to it. The other issue is, i dont want to build up a stroked and blown 360 and have to watch the 5.7 come rolling off the line not soon after. I wont (probably ever) be able to afford a new truck with the 5.7 in it, but maybe i could get the block. Im still up in the air if/when its ever gonna come out, and if its even possible to get it in a crate. Ah well, i wont stop lookin for an R/T, thats provin technology, i just have to find one thats cheap...

Message: From a number of posts I've seen on the various forums, the KB blower isn't as user-friendly as the others. Complaints have ranged from poor customer service from KB, the way the blower lags off in the upper band, bogging down when heated up, annoying FMU system, etc...
Vortech seemed to receive very good reviews from owners who have either owned, installed, driven, etc. Dakotas with different blowers on them. Paxton seems to receive the best feedback, and now that Paxton bought Vortech, the Vortech blowers will no longer be produced.
