(Trying to be sarcastic) in pervious post.
Look into the aerodynamics link on that site. It tells how much power a stock trim dakota (97up) needs to break any speed, within reason.
Doesn't help you much fazdak but interesting none the less.
to those who disliked the aero rims. They switch them for street use to nice chrome jobs.

This thread is so old, and yet hilarious. I guess Hersbird was right.... it's totally useless on the drag strip. It only runs 12.16@115 mph. How pathetic. Any 5.9 gas motor can do that! And jeez. They only got 21.2 mpg. Any damn Honda out there can do that! How pathetic. And they only ran 220 mph. How pathetic. Any Bonneville car can beat that lazy crap.....
What? They did all that with the same pick-up truck? Oh... maybe Hersbird was wrong after all.

Now I wish Dodge would see that truck and decide to put a similar diesel in the Dakota. If it could get 21+ mpg, be able to tow a trailer, and still be somewhat fast (not 220+, but close to our 4.7's stock), then I can't be the only one that would go for it.
