This has been asked before and the general consenses was to look for a "donar car" that has the 2.2L or 2.5L turbo. (Shadow, Omni, RamCharger,Daytona...etc) These engines are DESIGNED for a turbo (lowered compression ratio) and have all the required plumbing allready installed. All parts should be interchangable with your engine.

I know a guy that has the 2.2L and is producing over 320HP at the front wheels. It pins you to youe seat in 3'd gear. It will spin the front wheels in ANY gear if you give it too much throttle.
