Subject: Will I need to Head Bolts?
IP: Logged

Message:
I just ordered 2.02 R/T heads, KRC210 CAM, Lifters, and gaskets for my R/T.

Will I be able to used my old head bolts? Should I buy some ARP head stud bolts? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You gotta have the M1 intake with that too. That sucker will breathe deep then.

Expect to wait about 8 weeks + for those heads.
Been many complaints about the wait for those heads from KRC

It's a good idea to replace your head bolts. Although, I have reused old bolts with out any problems.

KRC has ARP head stud bolts for $120. Seem somewhat pricy for bolts. Does anyone know how much Mopar or normal heads bolts cost and any suggestion on where to purchase them. Thx.

dudesicle,
I been running with this setup, K&N FIPK2,F&B 50MM TB, M1 2bbl, 1.7RR, Gibson Headers, replaced third cat with spiral muffler while running a second muffler. More than enough air flow, plus doesn't drone like it did with just a pipe and looks like a cat :)

I'll might be selling my IAT adjuster and Mopar 1.7RR, and also have some stock parts.

I wouldn't get ARP unless your planning on running lots of boost.
