Message: I did it to my '96 Nissan XE KingCab and put a single 24" glass pac and duels. The performance was better and it sounded just 2 bad A$$ for a 4I couldn't tell you if it was worth the money cause it was free. My friend owned a muffler shop and I cut his grass like 6 months after his riding mower went out and wouldn't let him pay me. So he wouldn't let me pay for exhaust work.
Lifes Tuff good luck and if it was me I would do it,

Message: Stay with a single pipe and stock diameter. Duals will cause your gas flow velocity to decrease. This will kill your low end and any gains on the upper end will be neglible. A good high flow muffler with a single outlet at stock diameter is your best bet for a performance gain. This will increase your low end where a 4banger needs it most. Stay away from duals unless you are going to do a supercharger or turbo.

Message: If you say so! I had to remove one side coming to Germany, and it lost a lot in the top end and mid, it made no difference in the low end iether way.
