I own a 2000 dakota with an automatic transmission. When I shift from park to reverse it makes a metal on metal chirp sound. What is this noise and how do I fix it?

Thank you for the information. You wouldn't happen to know how I can keep it from chirping would you? It's starting to get on my nerves.
