Does anyone know if the shaker hood will work with a 4.7? I ordered my truck before I thought about it and with the throttle body being in a whole different position, will it still work?? Someone help me....

Yes, ProGlass does make a shaker hood for the 4.7's. Check out http://www.southeastrt.com/ for someplace to order them from.

I've got a 4.7 with a Pro Glass shaker hood.
The workmanship is outstanding and it is the
best induction outside of a supercharger you
can get. When you pedal it, the sound is great.
Gives you that extra boost you need to pass up
your R/T brothers.

can anybody give me info on how the shaker hood works(mechanically) whatstops water from getting into the intake? '00 dakota sport
"kota" it's a 3.9 should i up grade the tb to 5.2 first or would the 3.9 give me the same umph with the hood?thanks.

the hood base has 3 drainage holes built into it, ive had mine for a year and have no problems with water, and i get lots of rain, NTM atuomatic car wash

Neil, As of last month Pro Glass does not
make the shaker hood. It's now made by a
company with different production methods
(not as good). The hood almost weighs 50
lbs. and is now about $1000.00. The scoop
sits directly over an air box that is connected to
the throttle body.

I talked to Terry @ Pro Glass last month...he sold the Shaker molds to Keystone Automotive. He said he could not keep up with the orders & they made him an offer he could not refuse.
I've had my Shaker for over a year...no problems whatsoever.

here's what it looks like on my 4.7 dak. also no problems at all. still love it!
shaker hood/w k&n-magnaflow duals-ss grille-westin safari bar and nerf bars-
mtx thunderforms-are lid-z-liner sprayed in bed
