hey everyone , i just tried a search but it wouldnt work. i have one simple muffler question. which one of the two will be quieter,dynomax or magnaflow. im running a flowmaster 40 delta flow and i dont like the drone and the whooshing hollow sound it produces. its just too loud. i need to quiet it down a little and still have a nice tone .

depends on which type of dynomax/
magnaflow you get. I got the ultra flow race
welded dynomax, and it is pretty loud.
the magnaflow is nice though cause its really
shiney ; )
both are quality mufflers, but like most
mufflers, they have tons of different styles
available, the best thing to do is call the
company and ask what their quietest muffler
is.

I have the magnaflow on my r/t and it is pretty quiet in the cab, not to loud outside the cab. Much quieter then my friends flowmaster.

I have a magnaflow on my R/T as well, it is the largest one (made for trucks). I have mine dumped before the axle and it is pretty loud inside the cab (not as loud as my old 50 series flowmaster). However if you use a conventional tailpipe it isn't loud at all (inside the cab). I have heard it both ways.

I have the DYNOMAX ULTRA FLOW Stainless steel on my 00' Durango SLT+, and it sound sooooooooo good. The model number is #17263.
