Subject: New Truck - New exhaust?
IP: Logged

Message:
Just purchased a new Quad cab, 4.7L, with all options including tow package and HD group. It has the 3.55 axle. Put on a K&N but didn't remove the excess rubber flap since the intake is vented to the fender well. I may put on a cold air intake in the future. My question:
I really want a dual exhaust set up with a little rumble but not a lot of sound. Local Meinike store says $336 dollars in aluminumized steel without stainless tips with a Series 50 Flowmaster. Most shops won't do stainless unless a kit. They said outlet pipes should be 2.5". Is this a good price? What are the advantages to buying a cat-back system like Gibson, MBRP or Flowmaster?
