I am considering the Intense Performance Stage II intake for my 4.7L and was wondering what other users thought of it. How has your performance/mileage/sound changed since installing it? I am thinking of combining this with a Flowmaster 70 Series sometime soon.

I returned my Stage III Z-Tube to John because of driveability problems: big lag and downshift delay when punching it. According to John, about 20% of installations have either a lag or resonance issues (or both). He's working on it. (The Stage III pic on IP's site is my Durango).

As far as noise, you'll definitely notice it's there.

I'm happy with mine. I have the Z-tube with the 7"power stack S&B filter. With out available resources to test the bottom end I can only say that for a fact it helped in the top end. Before install it lagged and slowly built those last few MPH to the speed limiter, but now it bumps it just like it did when the speed limiter was back at 115 MPH.

I have had the IP stage 2 with 7" bigmouth for about 6 months and have had zero problems. You can hear the air rushing into it, but it definately lets the 4.7 get the air that it desires. Coupled with the exhaust you are looking at you should see some HP gains and 1-2 mpg increase in fuel economy if you can keep your foot out of it. I finally said FI, I like to hear my MBRP muffler growl too much to worry about fuel economy.

Glenn,

Thanks for the info on IP Stage II intake. I can't afford a Z-tube, and the Stage II looked like it might be a good choice for me.

where did you get your z-tube, and how much?

the setup looks nice, I am sick of my
homebrewed look, and would love to lose the
98 speed limiter, but I dont think KB can
remove it with the optimizer.

thanx
