Message: Just got my Mopar PCM for my truck in. The engine starts fine and I tried a small rev, and it seemed fine as well. But, I don't have any dash items. They come off their 'ignition off' mode, but only a couple of millimeters, never to the actual reading. Basically, no tach, no trip odometer, no oil press, etc. The odometer flashes, and because of the above, I didn't do a road test.
1997, 5.2, 4x4, auto.
Bernd,
I'm also awaiting the fastman throttle body and the R/T cam and lifters.
Everything that came in so far has been the PCM, K&N, rockers (guide plates & lifters), water pump, and thermostat. Just thought I'd put that across since most of it came in earlier this week.
Can't wait to put my goodies on :)
Thanks a lot
Boomer

Message: Hope all is well at home, no problems, the truck is just awaiting a few things. No hurry. Sorry about the typo in the original post. Anyway, the K&N is in and is running good, just need to get rid of the paper weight under the TB. Hopefully I have new project of a childhood dream to work on here soon.

Message: Appreciate that......
One last question about the computer (Mopar PCM). I disconnected the battery, pulled out the old, inserted the new. Reconnected the battery, and then turned the ignition on. The gagues came up from their 'off' mode, but that was it. The truck starts fine, but I didn't drive it because of the gagues (no tach, batt, oil, etc) and the odometer was flashing the current milage.
What should I do, or is it a bad PCM?

Message: If there's a dealer close by...have them flash the VIN into the PCM. This will also tell you if it's bad or not.
