Message: Does any one know of a turtle setup for the M1 MPI intakes? I think it looks like a turtle shell that is put in the middle of the intake to help low end. Would that be for the 4bbl only or can that be had with the 2bbl?

Message: Randy Pile at www.worldwideperformanceparts.com has the 4bbl w/turtle. There is a guy from Nova Scotia on www.dodgetrucks.org (I think his internet name is Salaryguy) that makes 2bbl m-1s w/turtles. Hope that helps.

Message: There is a guy who makes a 2bbl version on the RTML. His name is Jeff Arnold and he makes all kind of billet stuff for R/T's. So far he has made battery straps with the R/T logo, door sills, and the turtles. He has a large version for relatively stock engines and a smaller version for modded engines. I have the smaller one and it seems to work great. It got rid of the stumble off idle with the 2bbl M1. email him at

It looks like a pyramid shaped fishing weight about 1.5" tall and wide. It comes with a threaded pipe plug and long skinney bolt to fasten it down. For $46 you can't go wrong. He has two different sizes, one for low end torque and one for high end hp. Email him for pictures.

I installed the large turtle on the 5th. Wow! What a great mod for the
money. Anyone out there that has not considered one for their M1 intake is
missing the boat. I have the 2bbl. M1 with headers, 3" exhaust, FIPK,
Transgo, MP PCM, 2400 stall and a 50mmTB.
No dyno needed for results. I realize now that I did lose some low end with
the M1 install.
It's back big time!!!!!
Thank you Jeff Arnold!!!!!!!!!!

Message: I have a lot of parts awaiting install that I have recently purchased for my 97 4x4 5.2. I was going to do it as a step-by-step add on to see the difference of each part. Screw that! I want the stuff on my truck. I have the R/T cam set w/ 1.7RR, M-1 (hopefully turtle), Mopar PCM, K&N GenII, e-fan, RS 180 T-stat, MSD Offroad w/ coil & wires, and a 50mm TB, all awaiting install and some are in the mail. Time to get working, but I can wait until I get the turtle.
Oh what fun it will be...to cake my truck in mud.

Message: I just got some more made...
I have them for the 4bbl M1 and The 2bbl M1 now...in 2 sizes.
The small one seems to work well all around, and the large one moves the Toruqe down about 200 RPM more.
They are $40.00 + $6.00 shipping each.
Some of the guys have been getting both a large and a small and I let them have them for $70.00 + $6.00 shipping then.
I need to know if you have the 2 or 4 bbl and what size you want.
I take Paypal at this address. FlameRedRt@hotmail.com
Or you can mail a Money Order to me
