Subject: M1 install kit IP: Logged
Message: Hi, i went to Mancini racing and the guy told me that for my m1 intake #P5249816 I would not need any type of install kit since it was the older style and that my factory bolts would line up and no modifications would be necessary. Is this true? or do i need to purchase a specific install kit for my 99 slt.
Thanks,
---Ed

Message: You need the install kit, however it doesn't include new bolts to mount it. It comes with the spacers and plugs that are needed to make the M1 match up with all your factory parts.
Another thing is you do need new bolts, the old ones are torque to yield and will probably be in pretty bad shape already. The bolts come with the mopar gasket kit, which you also need.
I do believe they are making the non-egr version now but it may still require the kit which includes the fuel rail spacers.

Message: I didn't get an install kit with mine. After a trip to NAPA I was all squared away.
