Subject: Mopar exhaust ??s IP: Logged
Message: After doing a futile search for mopar exhaust systems i cant find any decent information on them.
has anybody used one? a dealer quoted my 250 bucks for the system. mopars site says they are bolt on. should be quick and easy even by myself.
i was wondering, performance-wise, how they stack up to other brands. Will having this brand limit my choices when it comes time to get headers in any way?
Also, i remember somebody had a link to a wav file somewhere with the mopar exhaust sound. i cant find that again either. so if anyone knows, please let me know. thanks

Message: I'm the one your looking for, I have the Mopar system on my 2000 Dak 4.7.
To hear my system check out this link, http://www.dodgetruckworld.com/forums/topic.asp?id=50358
Using the Mopar Cat-Back won't affect anything that deals with the headers.
You can check out my site also which has detail info and pics and sound on this system, any further question(s) you may have you can email me.

Message: i'm just east of Newmarket. Way out in chev territory, but i'm quickly converting them, haha.
#5249454, is the one i have been looking for and it is now discontinued. I have but a call in to mopar canada to see if they can locate any straglers but it's not looking good.
The exhaust i have sounds sweet, but i think it just sounds good and doesn't help with performance.
Good to hear of some local daks, where do you buy your perf. parts? I am right in the middle of a basement reno, at Bayview and Lawrence Av. How do you stand the city?

Message: Janesy,
Then order the 3.9 one instead! It's still should be the exact same system. Heck the one on my Dak 4.7 4X4 is for an R/T!! It bolted up perfect.
The cat-back opens up the engine for a bit more power, but most of us are after that muscle car sound.
I did a reno afew years back at Bayview & Eglinton, the traffic was a killer. Too much stop and go crap.
I live in Woodbridge and work (building custom homes) in Mississauga, so taking the 407 is pretty good.
By the way we have an Ontario Dakota Club with over 110 members, come and join us at www.swordsite.com it's great to have some new faces.

Message: You need to get a hold of Sal at So-cal Dakota for the system. The mopar performance exhaust systems and headers are made by positive performance in california. Your Dakota is listed on his site.
