Modified throttle body (or at least a V8 TB with the correct linkage), decent exhaust (Dynomax, Flowmaster, etc.) or at least replace the factory muffler with an aftermarket one (Dynomax, Flowmaster, etc.). Autolite 3923 Plugs gapped at factory setting, 180 T'Stat, and some sort of cold air kit to get cooler, denser air into the engine (makes more power). That's for starters.

Message: I have the same truck, the Flometrics 48mm Throttle Body, K&N FIPK, and Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust system made the most difference.

Message: Oh yeah, the cheapest mods were the Autolite spark plugs and the 180 degree thermostat.
