Subject: It is about d@mn time KRC!!!!!!!!!!!

Message:
Ok, after waiting for 10 weeks for my heads that were promised to me in 2 weeks, they finally showed up. Just fair warning to all of you out there considering getting the ported heads from KRC Performance, it take a hell of a lot longer than the 2 weeks that is stated on the website. And after numerous calls ans broken promises, I must say I am VERY unhappy with the customer service, or lack there of. I was told on 3 seperate occasions that they would ship to me, once when I initally called (promised me 2 weeks) then I called in May and was told a week and a half, then again in the beginning of june and was told another week and a half. Finally, after pulling my hair out, wondering if I was EVER going to see the heads and gaskets I spent more than $2000 for, they magically appear on my doorstep. All I can say is, Thank you KRC for allowing me to learn that you guys put your customers in top priority.......sarcasm, oh sweet sarcasm......

HKSR- But after being told 2 weeks, then waiting 5 and being told 1 1/2 more weeks, then waiting 8 then being told 1 1/2 more weeks and then waiting 11....that is down righ sad......If they had told me that I would get them as soon as they finished them, I would be ok with that. But when I outright asked him if I would get the heads in 2 weeks like it says on the website, then told another story, then another???? Bernd ordered a set for a customer in May and he got his WAY before I got mine....I ordered mine in the first week of April.....

I feel CORNHOLED.......

I was told 3 weeks when I ordered mine originally. Then inquired a few times while I was wating. Was told one time they were shipping that week. One week later and no heads. Called back and was told it would be a couple more weeks now. Like Dr0p0ff said, everyone is doing heads right now. The average wait I've seen is at least 6 weeks if not 8. Would you rather the shop doing the porting just ruched through each set and didn't do as good, or made a few "minor" mistakes?? When you called KRC, did you talk to Marty himself, or someone else. Maybe they did intend to have them done in two weeks, but other stuff came up. I'd rather wait for quality than get bad stuff quickly. And it's usually not good to piss off the person you are getting your parts from. That's why with my heads, I kept bugging them, but never said a fowl word, or threatened anything. I got them in time to have them on for the R/T National Meet which is all I really cared about at the time.

HSKR- I taled to Marty himself on 3 seperate occasions, then I talked to his secretary once. It is frustrating that I was promised twice that I would get them and still got nothing. I understand that things happen and circumstances change, but that means absolutely nothing to me after the second time I was told I would get them. I was totally cool after the first 9 weeks of not having the heads. But it was the last straw whenever it started creeping up on week 11. If they are going to advertise 2 weeks, then 2 weeks should be met. If they are gonna take 11 weeks, then they should change the website to say so accordingly. They should not make false promises, and expect me, as a consumer, to sit back on my laurels and wait for them hand and foot. That is just bad form. I just wish he would have been more honest with me, that's all. If he had good intentions about sending the heads in a timely matter, then that is fine, I have no proof of that but, ok. But a phone call would have been nice after the second time I talked to him.

Intense- I am gonna go to Bernd's on July 1st and maybe 2nd. You wanna go? I am going to get the stuff put on, hehe. Maybe you and I can attempt the M1 on this monday... hehe. The M1 and the fuel injectors.

HEy, it took only 5 weeks to get mine! NA NA NA NAH! :P

Relax... It sucks it took as long as it did, but it can get confusing for the guy on the other end trying to meet all of the delivery dates when you have a product that is both A) on back order b) in high demand. Try getting a set of Mopar headers right now. I have 3 orders that I've taken, 1-2 months ago... They'll be here soon (I'm always told that). Luckily I know where they are-- and my customer's should have them within 2 more weeks (fingers crossed). I have had similar situations with rockers recently-- So don't be too hard on KRC... It's a tough business, with things the way they are.

Now quit your bitchen, and get those heads installed and post some numbers!!! :P

the point wasn't what kinda of work he does it was him advertising a given time frame and not meeting that given expectation. That is unprofessional, like 5pnt9ltrluv said he needs to change the time on the site and all will be fine. It is understandable if he needs more time but that needs to be addressed on his site or through an email to the customer. A good business person doesn't leave it up to the consumer to inquire about a product he is working on...he takes the initiative and informs the guy. If he has too much business to do that then he needs to hire more personel. If this is a persistent problem forget giving the guy a break he needs to make some changes. Nothing against KRC just speaking my mind.

I am just glad you finally got them. See if you can get a dyno before you go so you can see what the intake/injectors/heads/whateverelseyourbudgetallows and see what the difference is?

i think most of us understand that.... but what kris' point was that the guy told kris exact time and dates of delivery and he didnt well... deliver. It didnt just happen once... it happened twice.... three times and possibly four. I was with kris a couple of times when he was trying to get hold of marty. There are a couple (4) of things that i see wrong with this picture:
1. gave a delivery date and didnt deliver
2. repeat 1 two more times
3. took 12 weeks to get them to kris
4. charged kris the day he ordered

i dont know what kinda business that guy is running but he shouldnt of told kris when they would be delivered if he didnt know or would be wrong. And i dont think its a good practice to charge someones credit card until it is ready to ship.

Let the choir speak! Seriously, I get $hit from people who was not on the receiving end of the shaft! To those of you that have replied to this thread in a negative manner towards me, I don't think that you really understand the brevity of the situation. I was personally told by Marty himself, that I was going to get the heads in a timely manner. Not once, Not twice, not three times, but four. Each time was a different day. Now tell me, if you gave someone $2000+ for some parts and they dicked you around for nearly 3 months, would that not pi$$ you off? I showed no hostility towards anyone except for the meer fact that I was displaying my distrust for a company that, in a nutshell, gave false promises.

What would pi$$ you off more?

A. Shelling out $2000 and waiting for 11 weeks on an ADVERTISED (yes it was advertised and still is) as a 2 week turnaround.

B. Calling several times with no results.

C. Finding out that someone feels like he got dicked over by a company you willfully defend.

I am willing to bet that it is A, then B. All of you that chose C, well, then you got problems.

My $2000 worth (plus shipping)

I know how you feel in this situation, I am in the motorcycle business. What makes your case more unique is that KRC is at the mercy of another machinist, and that is a risk he takes by not keeping the work in house. See when I have a part on long-term backorder I find another distributer in the US or I will have the part imported from another country. I find it to be a fun challenge to get something other dealers can't! I know that if I paid $2,000 and waited 9 weeks longer than I was told I would hope he would at least cut you a break on other future parts, or include the gaskets at no charge. It is the responsibility of Marty to keep the customers happy, and I am sure he wants to, but he is also getting the shaft from the machinist. I can't imagine the stress on his end, and the frusration on your end. Well, when you bolt those bad boys on you will forget about the 11 weeks in about a 1/4 mile!

I think that the four barral is for non a/c applications because the thermostat housing is partially in the way of the a/c bolt holes. Has anybody installed one before? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

You will probably have problems with the aluminum accessory bracket that mounts the A/C/Alt also. Back in '99 one of my friends put the M1 4 barrel with 4 barrel TB on his '97 Dakota with a swapped in 360. In the end he ditched the A/C and stock accessory bracket and fabbed up a new bracket to mount the alternator and idler pulley , the bypass hose on the 4 barrel intake is on an angle like the LA motors as opposed to straight like the Magnums. He also had problems with the throttle linkage and fuel rail mounting , he pretty much had to fab up everything , luckily it was a 5 speed so he didn't have any KD linkage to deal with.
