conig: I read on a previous post that you have
the kenne bell pcm, I was wondering what
year dakota you had, and what performance
increases there was....and is the speed
limiter gone ? I have a 2001 and I think this is
my last resort for pcm modifications.

I read an article in one of the MOPAR mags.
They got a computer wiz to look into the
Optimizer II. KB claims they change the shift
points among other things. The wiz checked it
out and all they did is advance the ignition
curve. They did get an increase in HP.
Ive got a 2001 4.7 and I too have checked into
all the upgrades and they all fall short.
Did you see the post of the dyno of the ASE
chip. Looks like another Jet Chip

they did something to the computer for shifting, mines a 2000 4.7 cc 3.55 no ls. my truck started catching second gear since I got the flash it doesn't catch it hard but gives it a little bark.
