Hey everyone,
Will a 180 degree t-stat from a 99 Dak R/T work on my 01 R/T? My local autostone doesn't list it for the 01's. I imagine they are all the same though, anyone know for sure?

The 180 stat i got is the same as a small block chevy. I got the Jet 180 stat. No reason why the one from the 99 wont work. Maybe im wrong....

I couldnt find one for my girlfriends 00 durango either. We went to Autozone, Checker, and Pep Boys and none of them even had it in their book because (they said) the car was too new. So I ordered mine from Speedtweaks, it was 13.95 with shipping plus it is a better thermostat!!

I'm a total n00b at this upgrade and I don't understand what it will gain. Could someone please give my the skinney on the T-stat upgrade and what it does?
Speedtweaks seems to be a great place to shop...

It's the same for the Magnum engines. I got mine at a chain called 'Auto Zone'. It's not in the books, but the same as the 5.2/5.9 180degree t-stat.
By the way, it really doesn't do anything like noticable HP gains. But it does, lower the operating temp, which increase engine life and the potential for a colder/denser mixture which gives the potential for more HP. It's also nice when you take off your belt fan and rely on the elec. factory fan.

Napa auto parts is the only one i found that had it lited in the computer they even showed me the part numbers for various manufactures average price was 12.95

For a 4.7L and a 5.9L you want a Robertshaw (not Robert Shaw, they are an A/C Manufacturer) GT755 180 degree thermostat. Autozone used the same part number as Robertshaw.
