I have a noise from my front end. I here it when I turn the wheel a little than goes away. It sounds like a tire rubbing. I've changed half shafts, brakes, checked tire clearance and I still have the noise. Does this sound like front wheel bearings in a 4x4? Any ideas? Thanks

It could be the bearings, but also check to see if
there any half shaft alignment requirements.

The reason I say this is because my wifes car was
doing the same thing. I did all the same checks you did to get rid of the noise, but nothing worked.

I decided to to slightly turn the motor and transmission and tighten all the mounts and it worked.

I don't know if you can do something similar to the drive shafts or not, but it is a suggestion.

Mark
