Subject: I found something that works IP: Logged
Message: I was thumbing thru a JC Whitney catalog and had a few things I needed (a bigger horn and some small items). I saw something that might work but wasn't sure, "Performance Traction Control Springs" in the performance truck section. I have had them on for a month now and I am very pleased with the results. The truck is well-mannered now, high speed, low speed, bumps in a turn, on and off the gas, this thing is glued to the road with great hole shots. I tried those Lakewood slapper bar and hated them. My wife has been in it twice since the install and can tell the difference from the passenger seat!!!! I can't begin to explain the night and day difference they have made, well worth the $59.95 I paid for them. One more thing, they are made by Hellwig but I could not find them on the Hellwig web site. Here is a link to them at JC Whitney , http://www.jcwhitney.com/product.jhtml?CATID=176719&FID=3302&BQ=jcw2

Message: Many here have asked the question "do these work". Thank you for posting this... I was wondering if they worked... what type of engine/drivetrain do you have. (v8, 4x4...etc...)

Message: Mr. Gasket - P/N# 1293 - Spring Clamps
Those work pretty good for traction as well (put them on the front side of the rear spring.

Message: Bernd ; I tried the spring clamps didn't help much. These things plant the tires for a great hole shot and improve the handeling without a stiff ride. All I can say is WOW!! they work.
