Go with the Nitrous Express kit. There are quite a few R/T's running this kit, myself included. Get the basic kit with at least the Gen-X upgrade. It includes the pressure transducer, bottle heater, NHRA blowdown tube, pressure guage, and fuel pressure safety switch. The Gen-X 2 kit includes all of that plus the purge valve. If you are running the Mopar PCM, you will need an ignition system with an adjustable timing retard feature because of the advanced timing with the PCM. Nitrous + advanced timing = BOOM. Also, get some spark plugs that are one step colder than stock. I think the part # is 20921 (not positive). Check with John Mercedes at www.southeastrt.com for a good price on everything.

I intend on going with nitrous also but be careful, my buddy has a 99 cc R/T and put a 150 shot on his and phucked up his transmission !!! Dont know if it is directly because of the nitrous buy he sprayed the 150 one time and there she blows !!!!! Good luck, maybe Bernd will chime in he know his $hit about nitrous

If you have stock components, I think that a 100 HP shot is the best bet for not totally destroying your truck. If you add headers, exhaust, CAI and MAYBE a custom ignition, then you could go over the 100 HP mark pretty easily with no bad results. Of course, always remember to change the plugs to one or two steps colder no matter what HP shot you use. Anyone thought of using the ZEX kit? It's one of the safer ones on the market.

WOW!!! maybe I wont't get nitrous...i had it in my mudstang and had no probs with it then, but it was the kit intended for it....its cheap horse power until you get greedy with the gas...then kiss your savings away...maybe a supercharger is the best way to go, or how about this twin turbo i've been hearing about by speedtweaks...sound like something to look into...thanks for the advice..

I don't have any experience with the NOS kit so I can't say. On the PCM it depends on how often you spray it. If you only spray at the track or once every blue moon, then I would say get an ignition system and a PCM. You will enjoy the truck alot more with a PCM than without, besides, on some ignition systems like the MSD Digital 6, the N20 retard function is tied directly into the Nitrous solenoid. It only retards the timing when the solenoid is activated.

The are numerous people running the 150 shot without any problems so I would be willing to bet that the tranny blowing up was on its way out before the nitrous.

The supercharger will be more expensive initially but the added power is always there. If you like your N20 alot, it can become more expensive than a supercharger really quick. I would say think about how you are going to use N20 (track or everyday) and decide what to do from there.

oh boy...i love this truck alot...but thats the thing its a truck, but it handles more like a heavy PONY CAR...the power it there, so is the performance, but i need a tad more...on the street people around where im from don't even look twice at me,,im just another truck...i'm the one who has to start the race..then they look at me like i'm some stupid redneck...until the ol' dak holds her own...but i just want to make sure she holds her own most of the time...on the street, track i can care less...i started out with five Os, so i kind of miss that seat in the pants feeling...i don't mean the babble on like some school girl but this is sort of the decision i'm trying to make my other choice is to sell it but i don't want to do that...so thats why i'm looking at power options...
