ive got a 2002 4.7 5spd quad and was going to relocate my iat sensor to the intake tube (home brew) im trying to confirm the correct sensor ive gone to speedtweeks and done a search here but all the info is a little unclear as to wich sensor it is on my 4.7 ive narrowed it down to two
there is one with a grayish connector on the intake manifold on the drivers side but it has a twist out clamp (non threaded)and seems to be all plastic the tip of the sensor has a blue tip.
the other sensor sits centered but i dont think its in the manifold , if i had to guess it looks like it sit in the water pump but im not to familar with newer engines this sensor is the threaded type and is brass
so.........where is it???

NO it is the one with the twist lock!!!!!!!!!!!! the brass one is the water temp senor. the iat sensor was change to the twist lock in 2001. go to the part store and buy a sensor for a 99 318. for about $20.00. that is the one with the threads. i hop you read this in time.

Yes, buy you another sensor to thread into the intake pipe. Then plug your harness into the relocated sensor. The new 4.7 IAT sensor is a twist lock...not threaded.
If you are ever in for warranty work you can plug the IAT harness back into the factory sensor.

Yahoo i found it. It screws into the manifold i guess. Anyways any idea on how long it will be till you get more IAT adjusters?
