number 53013163AA for $149.00. That includes shipping!
Jim also has wheel well flares,painted to match, delivered for $225.00."

I called the local dodge dealer here in nevada. THe price he gave for the above part was $275 and not in stock. The parts guy at this dealership claimed this TB should already be on the 2000 4.7L dakota I currently have. Is he confused?? If he is, i would sure like to order from Jim @ eldorado Chrysler.

There is a stamp on the top of the TB
53013241AC is a 65mm
53013163AA is a 68mm
Also it's stamped with the size on the blade. You will need to use a mirror
to see it.

THanks!! I'll check soon especially since my friend with the diesel ford is getting jealous of our dakota cuz it goes through the sand better. Beat him to the good fishing spot this weekend.

Bernd- Sorry if you have already explained this but why is 01 68mm 230hp and 00 65mm 235hp?Could I switch Elderados 68mm for my 65mm as a stand alone mod.and get more hp and same gas mileage?Is this an easy job (not mech inclined)?Do you think warrenty would be in trouble?Thanks .

From what I understand from other posts, the '01 have 4 cat instead of 2. (Someone with a '01 4.7L, correct me if i'm wrong on this one.)
As for the warranty, not an issue. Unless that look at the number on the throttle plate, they're identical. It's not a hard job at all though.

Thanks Bernd,I checked my motor and mine is the 65mm.It is hard to read about all the mods you put on your dak and not catch the bug.

Just a word to the wise....
I have a 00 Dakota 4.7. I tried swapping a throttle body from an 02. No Dice. The Idle Air Control Sensors are totally different. The sensor for the 00 has 2 wires, and the 02 has 4.
The connector spouts are totally different, and the 00 has 2 bolts holding the sensor to the TB and the 02 only has one. I guess they were trying to tell us not to swap when they made those, or wanting to help those in the aftermarket.
I'm not sure what the '01's look like, but I hope they are different than the 02's.
I got frustrated, and just ported the 65MM unit.
Oh by the way, my 00 has 1 cat.

There was an article a while back in a Mopar now Mag that showed the 65 to 68mm Swap from a 2000 dak. It is possible and I'm hopefully planning on doing it soon. They did give the part # so I better look for that mag before I do it. ALso If you do swap it out will you have any problems with aftermarket air Intakes. Can I still order one for the 2000 or Do I need to order 1 for a 2001 or 02 that goes with a 68mm. Thanks
