I don't even know where to begin, all I can say is I'm really pissed and can't even describe how upset I am w/ the sh!tty quality a business their running.
First off, I ordered the Ported & Polished 2.02 Magnum R/T heads...inspected them today, all they did was take em outta the factory box and clean em up a little and paint em. The insides of the intake and exhaust ports were rougher than sandpaper. And the guy putting this stuff on has done 8 R/T's and knows what the porting of a set of heads are supposed to look like and he says they didn't even go through a machine shop to be machined they look like stock performance heads.
Second, I tell him to send me everything needed to install the heads....gaskets, bolts, timing chain, etc...he sends me no head bolts & no head gaskets.
Third I order the Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers off his website which state that they come w/ the rockers, studs, & teflon guideplates. Got the rockers, no guidplates and it comes w/ the bolt for the rocker but no studs.
I highly advise anyone who is thinking about buying products from this company to seriously think about what you could be getting yourself into. I dunno if this is a scam he's been running on people like the average joe that he thinks he can send heads and know that they probably won't know the difference between ported and polished heads. No telling how many people have heads on that could've been ported and added alot more HP.
KRC sux and I know they are a small operation but I am NEVER buying anything from that sh!thole again. Sorry if I've offended anyone that may be affiliated w/ this website (of course he's not gonna screw over a well known company like Speedtweaks)...Bernd if you had recieved these heads and been an average guy off the streets you would've blown a fuse. Thats all I have to say.

Well apparently he doesn't work the weekends so it'll be Monday when I call him up...I'm kinda curious to see if he denies it. I mean he had to have known those heads didn't have any machine work to it...I've never seen a ported and polished head in my life but I know what it means and you couldn't even tell they had been done I could tell that even before I got my mechanics opinion on em. Hell they look nice and clean but this fukkin sux when you got your truck sittin in a damn garage waitin for the heads to be put on. Already degreed the cam and everything...but can't go any further cuz now I gotta decided whether I'm gonna get my money back for the NON-ported heads and find guideplates and studs for the rockers.
This is a nightmare.

I had 30K in my last truck - lost it in a fire. I understand being pissed. I had an R/T head with a casting error where I had water squirting out the exhaust port! I had a broken valve spring on my 408 stroker motor. I had a dead fuel pump on my Vortech blower. I've spend money and understand being angry when things get messed up. I've had orders screwed up by KRC, Speedtweaks, Summit, Jegs, and many others. And I've dealt with them directly about it.

First off, All these shops are making a killing on these heads. What I did was buy the heads and send them to a local machine shop, He does IHRA and Nascar motors and had the heads done for 600 bucks. It's way cheaper then spending 1600 for them. I have 1350 in the heads and they are done right. Total port and bowl work. I seen the heads before the valves were put in. For what little bit of work these guys are doing, they're making a killing. So my advice is buy the heads and have them done locally.

All I can say for KRC is what I have experienced first hand, and that was quality work at a fair price. Marty is a great guy who knows his stuff inside and out. I'm sorry if you don't feel this way because I'm a pretty good judge of character and I'm still happy with all the work that was performed at KRC on my Dak to this day

How come a "KRC Tech" doesn't have a registered name on DD's.com? just curious.
I would think it would be in their best interest to have a registered name to field questions/problems such as this one on DD's.com.
This all goes back to free speach fella's.
If you want no bad press than go out of your way to take care of your customers (each and every one of them).
As I have stated before, I own my own company and have NO unhappy customers ever, but my system is set up so that they (customers) will contact me with any problems.

krc tech, i have been given the runaround by companies before. i have waited 1 year for a part. if i paid a couple of grand for a part and got the runaround (based on what i read in the 1st post) i would be upset.

if you read my 1st post on this thread i asked if he called you on this. i assumed he did, because i cant emagine anyone blasting a company without calling them first. i thought you just screwed him and now dont want to deal with him now.
if it takes a long time to do the work, dont say you can have them done in a week or whatever when you cant. why dont you change the time frame on your site?
if people knew that it would take 2 months to get them, they might hold off. i know if i knew it was going to take a year for my part, i wouldnt have bought it.

I am considering a set of 5.9MAG HEADS, PORTED AND POLISHED, 1.97IN/1.625EX, part number 4876257, do the heads you selling flow better than these, I am using Mesa headers (2 1/4) out for the exhaust, and, eventually a 4 BBL throttle body and intake, I am looking for the 400 - 500 HP range-street legal, by the way I know what it means to produce quality work and have the damn phone distracting you while your doing it, as I am an aircraft mechanic

I'll side with KRC Tech on this one. I ordered my ported and polished 2.02 heads in March. I just got them a couple weeks ago, and finally got them installed last weekend. Everybody and their brother are ordering heads right now. Everyplace I've looked, they are backed up and shipping times are usually at least 1 month. I did not order my parts from KRC Performance, and it still took two months to get my heads. It's not just KRC that is behind in head work. And I know Marty knows his stuff on the Dakota's.

KOTA on 20's, it's called being overwhelmed by volume. Read MAD's post over on the general board in this same thread and I hope it will give you some insight.
Scott: because I do not have time to surf this area, I should be on my own server now replying to KRC e-mails. I felt a need to speak up for my work though. Scott, I go out of my way more than you'll ever know, sacrificing more than just my work time.
99RT, you need your heads to flow more than 260 CFM for 500 HP support at 6000 rpm. I have seen many heads go across the flow bench and out of the box 1.92's range from 218 to 235, the 2.02 valve from the MOPAR 141 casting is around 245 out of the box. Mildly cleaned up 1.92's hit 250, while 2.02's sit at 265-285. I sent Bernd a set of heads last week that where 1.92 intake that flowed 269 that day at 28". I will be posting pictures and Q&A frequently asked, on porting myths, within 2 days. Please hang in there for that.

Glad to see you online to defend yourself, yourwork, and your shop. Reputations can be made and broken over the internet very quickly, even if the information given is bogus. I know when you did my heads for the 6'r I was one of those customers calling all the time for updates, its very understandable you get backed up. Most people not in or arround that type of business done understand. Kepp up the good work, allways will have my business.
