Subject: how do I get more torque? IP: Logged
Message: How would I get a little more low end torque on my 2002 4.7L 5-speed 3.55 LSD, without putting in the HO cams. So far I have a gibson cat-back dual rear exit exhaust, a TB spacer, Cold air intake, and I polished my TB. Will a pwer control module do the trick? if not, what?

Message: well a less restictive exhaust like the one you have, won't help low end any. Switch over to the 3.92's LSD I have them in my truck and their awesome

Message: Increase displacement is the best way I know of to increase torque. Another way would be some sort of alternative forced induction or nitrous.
There isn't much you can do to really increae torque that isn't expensive. You could move and tune your rpm band a bit more, but that would be getting the HO cams. Or get larger gears like 4.11 or 3.92s, but this isn't really increasing engine torque.
Most of the stuff you have is just freeing up some of the lost power from stock engine quality, if you want the power, you really do have to pay to get it :|
PCM would help, but then you might as well get the HO cams.
You can gut/replace/straight pipe your third cat. The "right" shop can set you up for usually around 50 bucks.

Message: for restored Low end torque,
1. Put the stock exhaust back on. If you'd dynoed before and after, you'd see you lost your money.
2. Put the TB spacer on your desk as a paper weight where it belongs.
3. Get a Stage 2 Jet Chip, then put it on your desk on another stack of papers, cause it's more use there than on your 4.7.
Don't research this stuff much, do ya?

Message: after driving my friends 2001 CC R/T, I kind of wish I did get one. I can beat him in the 1/4 mile, but I love his low end torque. I only wish it came in 5-speed.

The only way to make these trucks go fast is to dig deep down into the wallet and shell out some money. I never was satisfied with all my little $100-300 modifications, it's the ones that take all day and cost $500-up that will make you smile.

Message: I swapped out the muffler for a Dynaflow, but I'll be the first to admit that I didn't gain any power from it (I actually lost a bit). But man do I love the way it sounds, and that's why I did it.
...think a Cummins+NV5600 would fit in it? :D

Message: I can't buy a supercharger because it will void my 7yr 100,000 mile warranty. When that runs out, I will probably rebuild and get one then. The milage I have been putting on the truck, I figure in about four years. I was trying to see if any bolt ons will give me more torque, I did not want to take the internals apart yet.

Message: Go back to stock and you will have more torque. I think before I get carried away with any more "little" mods I am going to sell all the things I have bought and go back to stock. Only about 700 miles on the items listed below. The truck has 1,200 miles total. I also have an Airaid Intake for a 4.7 that was on for 100 miles.
