 Subject: NEED TO VENT!!!

Ok, I ordered some ported and polished R/T heads from a well known shop....Take a wild guess, though I will not mention the name of the company for obvious reasons....Anyhow, I ordered them 2 months ago!! It is advertised as a 2 week turnaround time on these heads....RIGHT.... Any ways, after week 3 I called and asked them where my heads were, and they said that they should ship out in a week and a half....RIGHT.....well week 8 is upon us and still NO heads. I called them up today, and they said that the heads are still at the machine shop and they should ship by WEDNESDAY of next week...... Well I must say that it has been the best friggin $2000 bucks I have ever spent........Well, we will see if I get them....
If the nameless company sees this post, change the website to "We don't know when you will get your heads" instead of "Two week turnaround".
DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your luck. Seems like they may have bumped your heads to do my intake and the 16 others that supposedly came in. Atleast I hope it's on it's way from them and not in machineshop limbo. I would think though if you dropped that kind of cash you would get to the top of the shops list, especialy after 8 weeks. That sucks

Eric- hehe.....
DaveR- It is machine shop limbo....it really sucks....I had been planning on putting those heads on, as well as a few other things, now for 2 months...I ordered everything at the same time and the heads are the last thing I am waiting on....I was thinking about the whole false advertising thing and how it has been a friggin nightmare when I was PROMISED the heads within 2 weeks...I feel cornholed....no vaseline.....just a good old fashioned dry humping......

Hey Kris I know who you ordered yours from...the same place I did. They told me the EXACT same thing...what you put on that first post were almost the exact word for word conversation I had w/ them. I called and called just like you did and they told me they were gonna be out by the next monday...next monday rolls around and I call em up to make sure and they're like yep their goin out today and I'm like sweet, they say it'll be thurs. Well Thurs comes around no heads, Fri no heads so I call up and they go...ohh well your heads are still in the shop dunno what happened, but definatley next monday for sure. The next monday comes around I call to make sure, sorry man still in the shop still don't know what the hold up is. After a month (when told 2 weeks) I finally get them today. They should at least be honest...but like a friend of mine said...most people that call want the product fast...if they tell someone it'll be a month they'll go somewhere else, apparently its a tactic to get your business thats been going on forever now.
I hope you get yours soon cuz I know what your feeling I was pretty pissed it felt like they were blowing me off. Hang in there. ;)

Yeah when I ordered em he said he had 10 guys ahead of me and I was the 11th...I was assuming U were in the 10. He said he had already sent out those 10 when I called about mine, so figured you would have gotten them by now.
Oh by the way you shoulda seen the look on the UPS man's face when he carried those heads to the door (2 trips). He was like what in the HELL is in these boxes. He was sure glad they put em in 2 different boxes.
Kris I'd call em again and tell em about me ordering after you and see what they say. Sounds like a bunch of sh!t to me. I'd at least ask for a discount or somethin.

MikeD- I ordered mine the first week of April, like on the 3rd or 4th. I was told that I would get them by at least by the end of April cause I wanted to go to Bernd's on the last Monday of April. Well, I called the last week of April and all of a sudden I had 23 people in front of me!!! WTF!!!! All I know is that I feel fukkin holed out...2 months is WAY too long to wait for something that was supposed to be in my hands (as advertised) with in 2 weeks....Normally, I would just blow this kinda thing off, but that is on stuff that I have only spent a couple of hundred on...I have patience then. But when it comes to the $2000 that I spent, then my patience wears thin....Maybe I shoulda had Bernd order it for me.....Fukkin BS.....
I know I have said that patience is a virtue in previous postings, but when it comes to an a$$load of money spent, it is a different matter. And when I am told that the turnaround times are 2 weeks, 3 or 4 weeks turnaround time I can handle, not the 9 or 10 that is will end up being...........

Have they charged your Credit Card yet?
IF they billed the CC without shipping the product, they are in HUGE violation of Visa/MC/Amex regs...
IF this is the case - Threaten to issue a chargeback and report them to the CC company... This may result in some positive action.

Well, now i'm out of machine shop limbo and into the vortex of UPS. Called the offending company and they said it shipped yesterday, 2 days after promised. Of course, that's better than 2 months after promised. So they gave me an invalid tracking number, yippy, it'll be a big suprise when I get the intake. I guess we now know they are consentraiting on M-1s and not heads.
