Ok, I have the HO cams, not yet installed though.
What I want to know is this...
What are the major differences in the HO heads and intake and the regular heads and intake?
I am wanting to do a head swap to ported heads, would it make a big difference if these heads will be heavily ported if I use the HO heads and intake over the non-HO?
Does the HO engine's intake have bigger runners for more cfm? Shorter runners? Bigger plenum? Does it look the same as the stock 4.7 L intake on the outside?
Are the exhuast ports any different? Will my manifolds bolt up, no probs?
Thanks for any info on these parts...
ALso, any technical knowledge about valve sizes, materials used, and port shape and flow differences would be helpful... Also, does anyone know how long these valves are? and also what kind of lock they use for retention.

The intake hasn't showen much for gains on my truck but the cams are detinitely worth it. Heads have no idea.

Heads are the best way to go. Just get yours ported and polished.

or, if you have the cash, get the HO heads and
have them ported and polished....but the extra
$ probably wont be worth it.
I too have the HO cams, and manifold sitting
in my room, I have a feeling these mods will
be very beneficial after adding a supercharger.
20ft lbs of torque for less $100 cant be beat,
so yes, they are worth it.
If you have a pre 2001 4.7, the $160 that the
manifold costs, you should probably put
towards a pcm flash by mike leach, I have
heard (previous post from duner) that you
wont regret it.
